If you are considering or finally decided to take content writing as a career, or maybe you've been a professional writer for, like, what, 1-2 years and still face obstacles which I admit is normal for all writers out there, newbie or professional, but what isn't normal is that you don't have to get trapped like others who choose to quit when the going gets tough. If you are determined to push through to attain the dream of building a writing empire, then I have something for you.
It's a list of 5 podcasts whose creators have a proven track record and have built a name for themselves in the industry. Listening to them would take your career to the next level. At the beginning of 2022, you might have told yourself this year is going to be different, and after losing out on previous years, you set out ready to conquer the marketplace, armed with tools, resources, targets, and a long list of goals you've created for your business. Well, it's December. Shall we take a review that list, yeah? *I take a hard look at the list, "yeah, I was correct." Crumbles the paper and throws it in the bin.* No one likes it when their plans fail, but to be honest, if you do an assessment of your business performance, you realize you didn't hit all your targets and set goals.
2023 is a few days away. Jordan Makelle, in one of her newsletters, said, "January is a HUGE month for freelance writers. It's when big companies ramp up their marketing and start hiring writers for the new year." If you want to get these clients, you need to get your marketing together right now. And what better way to start than by listening to these podcasts?
Here are the five best Content Writing Podcasts to listen to right now.

2. Copyblogger FM
It funny how I mentioned Copyblogger in the first list, but what I didn't say is Copyblogger has become a thriving media company, selling software to bloggers and offering content marketing services and SEO to over 125,000 happy customers. Founded in January 2006 by Brian Clark, it has an Academy where they're on a mission to help writers succeed in the creator economy.
Copyblogger FM, an extension of their Network, is a weekly, short-form broadcast hosted by Darrell Vesterfelt and Tim Stoddart.
Each week they delve into hot topics-content marketing, copywriting, conversion optimization, and much more. They built a highly profitable company with just useful content, smart copywriting, and exceptional products and services, earning eight figures in annual revenue. Now they teach you to do the same; you might also earn the same amount, maybe two years to come. Who knows? Subscribe to find out.

My all-time favorite. I promise not to be biased, so help me, God. As a student of the Academy, HubSpot is second to none regarding sales and marketing. Their Podcast Network is a combination of 34 shows creating content on topics ranging from tech, business, and media.
4. Search Engine Journal Show
The official podcast of Search Engine Journal has been tagged as one of the best SEO and digital marketing podcasts. Rated 4.7/5, with a duration of 45-60 minutes. Stop there! You may think, what do content marketing and SEO have to do with writing? My answer is everything! Content marketing teaches creating quality content that attracts, entertains, informs, or educates your target audience. Writing is a form of content, text-based content. And if you want your content to do all the above, then learn content marketing. SEO is basically search engine optimization, the art and science of getting your website or blog ranked at the top of search engines. Clients now list SEO as a required skill* for content writers. And guess what? Not too many writers understand SEO, so here is your chance to beat your competition and land that job.
5. Grammar Girl Quick and Dirty Tips for Better Writing Podcast
Ranked in the top 40 podcasts on iTunes and Five-time winner of best education podcast in the podcast awards. Megan Fogarty is the host of Grammar girl, who is recognized as a grammarian authority, having written a best-selling book; Grammar Girls Quick and Dirty Tips For Better Writing, The Grammar Devotional, 101 Misused words you'll never confuse again, to name a few. You can learn all there is to content marketing and use good keywords and SEO hacks to optimize your posts, but if your grammar sucks, people are going to lose interest quickly. A lazy cat doesn't sleep but eats! Turned off? You should be! I bet you're confused by that statement. The sad thing is I see a lot of poorly written content on the internet, mostly filled with buzzwords and jargon. Some of these writers use "BIG WORDS" to sound smart, but they confuse the reader.
In this podcast, Megan seeks to address common misspellings and grammatical and punctuation errors, helping you improve your writing.
