According to the Bible, from the mouth of two witnesses, the truth is known. I will like to iterate the fact that God's word is and will always remain true.
Looking at the vision of prophet Zechariah (Zech 6) and that of apostle John in Rev 6 - the chapter pictorially highlights the various types of sufferings that are to befall this earth. Each of the horses mentioned there identifies with a particular type of tribulation that is to befall this earth.
*Similarity Between Rev 6 and Matt 24*Β
π White horse rider/False Christ
π Red horse/Wars
π Black horse/famines
π Pale horse/Death
π Martyrs/MartyredΒ
Many of these prophecies have been and are being fulfilled. Now, considering the similarity between the events and Jesus' answer to the disciple's question on what sign will signal His coming and the end of the age (Matt 24). Then, you will agree with me that the return of Christ is nearer now than ever before. At this point, l would like to ask the question; *Are You Ready?*Β
If you answered No to the above question, then there is an opportunity NOW for you to do away with whatever 'enemy' might want to deprive you of it. Repent NOW from your sin(s) and get yourself ready to meet with the bridegroom. And if you answered YES, there is also the need for us to act wisely and remind ourselves of the presence of these enemies π *success*, *satan*, *self* and *sin* that bombard Christians daily. I can tell vividly without exaggerating that the goal of the enemy is to discredit God, makes it look as if our decision to follow Christ is a wrong one, then shifts our focus away from God.Β
I can also tell that when the enemy triumphs, we are put to shame. Personally, l hate satan's defeat, and that is the reason I'm willing at all times to follow Jesus, the only one whom the enemy couldn't defeat - Since Jesus triumphed, we too must triumph provided we follow Him so that He will show us how He made it. Thankfully He's not a selfish God. He promised to guide and lead us (Psalm 32 vs. 8), but we must be willing!Β
King David was aware of the presence of his enemies, and he also knew that he needed God's help hence his prayer in psalm 25 vs. 1-3. *What To Do When Pulled In Different Directions!* Ensure to put the Lord in proper perspective, i.e., the front! Secondly, call Him by what He bears. When we place Him where He rightly belongs and calls Him by what He bears, we enjoy His intervention. Even when the situations around us are not as we desire, provided we are in the perfect will of God, it always makes a lot of difference.
For king David, this mighty God was his shepherd... As an experienced shepherd himself, king David could best understand and appreciate the duties of a shepherd; hence in psalm 23, he likened himself to a sheep in God's fold. Unlike in other cultures where the shepherd comes behind the sheep, shepherds in Israel lead while the flock follows. So, when danger strikes, the leading shepherds can better defend their sheep than the driving shepherds.Β Β
Furthermore, maintain a clear conscience! Be sure to confess your sins because unconfessed sins hinder prayers and create fear in a believer. Lastly, practice faithfulness, integrity, and uprightness in your walk with the Lord. Conclusively, permit me to borrow words from the song πΆπΆ I will put you in front, in front of my melody, oh! Lord, you are all that mattersπΆπΆΒ
*Advice:* My sincere advice to all and sundry *Put God in front of you and everything you own*. When this is done, that enemy that does not want us to have/enjoy a good, peaceful society will be defeated, and on the last day, Christ will harvest our souls.
