An example of a good book is "How to win friends and how to influence people," unlike "The 48 laws of power" or "The Art of Seduction," which a good majority would argue is a bad book- especially those in the Christian faith- who say, it is demonic and manipulative. Beyond the name, do you care to check the contents? Do you know they're not so different after all? What is the difference between influence and manipulation? A book has two ways it can influence a man. The first is if the man lifts words verbatim from it and uses its contents as prescribed. In which case, we find some practices in our religions that shouldn't originally fit into the present world, but for the sake of religion, we make them fit and discomfit ourselves or those around us.

The second is by applying the contents and modifying them to induce a fit for whatever challenge may be faced at the moment. Have you ever thought this way; if this knowledge I'm acquiring would get others to get things done for me, why can't I use it on myself to get things done for me? According to the first book doing something as simple as remembering a name would make people like you. Why? Because they believe you like them and they're so valuable you remember their names. This is true. I'm not disputing, but how is it different from playing to people's fantasies- if he feels like a god worships him, he likes blue, get him blue gifts- at this point, I'm thinking you think there's no difference, right—likewise influence and manipulation. You get people to do things in both cases.

In influence, the person is totally aware of what you're getting them to do, but they're doing it because of you because they think it's worked for you, so it'll work for them but do they ever think how different the circumstances and timing they have with their influencers?. In manipulation, the person is aware you're getting them to do something just that there's a catch, a carrot on a stick. If they don't get the carrot, at least they'd burn calories.

A book cannot be classified into a good or bad book, likewise, knowledge cannot be classified into good or bad depending on its intended usage. However, the usage of the knowledge, yeah, that's where everything changes.
