Love And Relationships Stroy

Love and Relationships Stroy: Our relationship went cold from then and we eventually broke up...

Four years ago, I was in a relationship with a beautiful Yoruba girl, she was schooling in the Benin republic, and I was working. Anytime she's on holiday, she would travel down to come to see me in Lagos; sometimes, she might not even visit her parents, who stay in Ogun state till she goes back. We've been dating for almost a year, and it was all positive vibes; she is a very shy and quiet girl, and I was like six years older than her, so anytime she came around, I always enjoyed pampering her, but one problem I have with her is, she's not the type that likes staying in bed and waiting for her man to bring breakfast for her she is the type that likes bringing the breakfast.

Whenever she's around, she would want to wash everything, clean everything, fetch water and still cook; most times, when I come back, I would definitely find her doing something. I complained to her on several occasions that she needs to rest sometimes after school problems, but she wouldn't agree; she would just laugh it off and continue doing it. She got pregnant for me, and we were happy about it; we agreed that when she came back for her next holiday, I would go see her parents before the pregnancy became obvious; something happened that made her not to be able to come back until the pregnancy was already close to 6 months, it was already very obvious that she was pregnant and it became a problem because we didn't want her parents to know she was pregnant before they know me.

During this holiday, she came to my place as usual with six months already gone with the pregnancy; she should have started antenatal by now. While she was around, we made plans to go see her parents since the cat was already out of the bag; we agreed to go during the weekend because that was my off work day. On Friday I was fast asleep at around 3 am when I felt someone touching me gently trying to wake me up, immediately I woke up I rushed down from the bed and switched on my light, I saw her rolling on the fall holding her stomach, part of the bed where she was lying on was sucked with blood, her body was hot I mean very hot serious temperature.

I quickly rushed to my neighbor's room, who happened to be a nurse; she followed me to my room and saw her on the floor with blood gushing out of her body. She asked me to quickly boil hot water while she carried her to the bathroom and asked her to sit on a chair; when the water was hot, she used a towel to apply it to her stomach, it was like she knew what she was doing and all this happened in the space of 15 mins.

As she was pressing her stomach, I saw something fall from her v*agina area, Jesus!! I shouted as I stood there without moving and when I looked closely to my surprise, it was a baby. At first, I thought she had early delivery; I was already thinking of how we would get them to the hospital; suddenly, the woman turned to me, handed the child to me, and said look for somewhere to bury him immediately; he is dead. 😢 Jesusssss!!! 😢😢😢 I broke down in tears and started crying; he looked so innocent and tender that I felt like I had failed him; I was thinking to myself, could I have saved his life, or was this supposed to happen?

He was so small, so little and cute; he was cold and stiff; he didn't move a finger; I held him in my hands for some minutes and looked at his beautiful face. The woman tapped me and reminded me I needed to go and bury him quickly so we could get her to the hospital, so I went to bury him somewhere while she took her to the hospital, I went to the hospital to meet them, and the doctor confirmed that the child had died for more than 24 hours, we got home, days went by, and I just couldn't forgive myself sometimes I feel it's the too much stress from her side that caused it and sometimes I feel I caused it. Our relationship went cold from then, and we eventually broke up. I still haven't been able to get it out of my head, each time I remember it, I just feel sad.😢
