Mr Project At 52: Prepared To Serve, Always And Very Much!

This piece seeks to congratulate the lawmaker representing my federal constituency as he marked his birthday.

My federal constituency of Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo had, via casting their votes into the election boxes while standing under a scorching sun, sent a few men to the green chamber of the National Assembly in Abuja for quality representation, but none one of them made impressive records until Engr Chris Emeka Azubogu entered the political arena. Freshly anointed with blessings from the People's General - Eze Igbo Gburugburu, late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Engr Azubogu entered the political ring to battle it out from the then incumbent lawmaker. He fought by simply revealing what he will do once elected to the Federal House of Representatives. Our people then responded overwhelmingly to his first attempt at contesting the mainstream election, and he won. Yes, he slung it out from the then incumbent, and immediately upon assumption of office, he went straight to work.

Overwhelmed by his burning passion to make a difference in serving the people, he went into overdrive working tirelessly to bring transformative developments to his dear federal constituency. By the time his first tenure was nearing its end, he had already completed numerous gigantic infrastructural projects and still had some more ongoing under construction. Aside from the numerous bills he had sponsored during his first tenure, he also facilitated and installed solar-powered street lights across the three LGAs, and rehabilitated roads & bridges too. He was representing dear constituents so well that they couldn't help but practical sobriquet him, "Mr. Project". And the sobriquet practically stuck on him.

Having seen his genuine representation vis-a-vis his impeccable leadership qualities, our people once again responded en masse to his second attempt on the ballots. Yes, he won landslide this time maka na ahịa ọma na-ere onwe ya (because a good product sells by itself). Upon retaining his seat as the federal lawmaker representing the good people of my constituency, Honourable Azubogu - a proper "Honourable" in the truest sense of the word - continued to facilitate, build and complete projects that will enhance the living standards of our people both economically and socially. He was never, at any point in time, found to be ineffective, inactive, and incompetent in his much-expected responsibility. It is always a record of one, two, or three achievements at a go!

His policy of people-oriented representation endeared him more to our people who didn't bathe an eyelid in electing him for the third time in a row. And yes, he won the primary election unopposed. By the way, who can battle with the people's anointed choice? He won the general election that had many opponents in an impressive landslide margin! Yes, because he proved to be a great servant of the people, and he got his duly deserved reward from his people. His name is Mr. Project! Of all his sustainable intervention efforts that our people have continued to benefit in a great measure to this day, a yearly free medical outreach he facilitates, and for which over 500 major and minor surgeries have been successfully done is the Odogwu of them all.

Of all his gigantic infrastructural projects that are aimed at building a solid system that can solve our economic problems, an industrial park he facilitated and for which construction work is currently ongoing is the Ikenga of them all. When he sought election for the fourth time as a federal legislator, our good people of Nnewi north & south and Ekwusigo federal constituencies responded once again in an amazing way of solidarity. Yes, he is currently serving his fourth term in the green chamber at Abuja. And make no mistake, he has not been found wasting as per discharging his much-expected responsibilities efficiently. He has always continued to sponsor bills, attract projects, facilitate interventions, build bridges, construct roads, and empower constituents. His name is IfeanyiChukwu Nnewi! As the people's workaholic leader marks his fifty-two years on earth today, it is a call for the celebration of fifteen years of unmatched quality service to the people. Let's celebrate! Congratulations, Mr. Project, and happy birthday to you!

Long may you live!! ❤️
