My Bitter Sweet Experience Ii

Sarah the shy, slim, albino girl moves to a new apartment, what awaits here there???

Sarah was pouring her heart out to her only friend from way back (her diary) when she heard her mom calling her. She stopped writing and went over to answer her mom; as she got to the living room, she saw a woman with two teenage kids; immediately, Sarah's inner fear sprang up; she couldn't keep eye contact, her heart was palpitating, but she managed to lift her face after hearing the soothing voice of the beautiful lady sitting beside her mom.

I am Mrs. Cole, your next-door neighbor, and these are my kids, Jason and Christine. Jason and Christine smiled and waved at Sarah, and she weakly raised her hand, responding with a little wave. Mrs. Cole, a lively and jovial person, went on talking to Sarah, asking her a lot of questions; Sarah couldn't help but stutter before answering. She hadn't experienced such a warm welcome from a total stranger before; thankfully, Christine saved Sarah from embarrassing herself any further by asking if Sarah wouldn't mind a walk.

The girls moved down the stairs, then Christine started talking. It was a bit awkward since Christine was the only one talking while Sarah simply nodded; one would think Sarah was literally snubbing Christine if they didn't take note of the head nodding. Mrs. Adekoya, sensing Sarah might turn down Christine's request, quickly answered for Sarah, and so the two girls got up to leave just then, Christine looked over to Jason, but he shook his head and looked away. Sarah was already praying Jason would turn down the request because she didn't even know how she was going to survive talking to Christine talk more about Jason.

Sarah realized that she wasn't being nice to Christine, so she decided to reply to her. Christine was super excited, and she just kept talking. I'm Christine Cole, a kid sister to Jason, the boy you met a few minutes back; I'm an SS1 student at Crystal High School; what about you?? Sarah summed up courage and said I'm Sarah Adekoya, an SS2 student of Greater Height Academy or, let me say, an Ex-student of Greater Height Academy. Wow, I've heard about Greater Height. It's a popular school, really good, Christine said, but to Sarah, Greater Height Academy was a nightmare. She was glad that she left there; else, she might have committed suicide. Well, Christine continued, your mom mentioned that you would need to change your school due to the distance, and my mom recommended my school, Crystal High.

Sarah was shocked to the bone; she didn't want to attend the same school as her next-door neighbor. Wasn't this a dè javu??? Ohh, God, Sarah cried in her heart, but she kept a composed face to Christine. Christine started talking about Crystal High; it's a day and boarding school, but my brother and I attend the day school, and I guess you'd also attend day session as well. Crystal High operates with the British curriculum, so that means we close by 2 pm. Jason is the assistant head boy, and he's going to be your classmate since he's also in SS2; we start assembly by 7:45 am, and your hair must be neatly done; we don't call hairstyles. Just make sure you're always neat, and you are good to go although everything about Crystal is perfect, you might have a little problem with their student. Christine stressed the word problem that kept ringing in Sarah's ears; this definitely sounds like trouble.

But all the same, Crystal is a great school. Just know the technic on how to survive, and you'd do just fine, Christine said to Sarah. After a little more walk, the girls decided to head back home; by the time they got to Sarah's place, Jason and Mrs. Cole had left, so Christine went home afterward.

All through dinner preparation, Sarah was lost; all Christine told her this afternoon weakened her spirit; she wasn't herself, and though Mrs. Adekoya noticed, she just wanted Sarah to talk to her without feeling pressured. Shortly after Adekoya's dinner time, Sarah was called to the living room; Sarah was told that she was going to start schooling at Crystal; Sarah wanted to oppose it, but her parents had good reasons for choosing Crystal High; after all, it's a British curriculum school, Sarah got lost in her thoughts and didn't even hear what her parents were saying, what jolted her back was when her mom said"we'd be going to Crystal High tomorrow for registration" It was then Sarah knew that she was in for another round of trouble.

Authors Note: Sarah was subjected to bullying and emotional abuse because of her albino complexion. Would Crystal High accept her, or would they keep her locked in her shell????
