Solemn Lasting Days

Opening to a world that cannot be avoided. Who makes life decisions. Bewa could not be more disgusted about the kind of family she lived in. Ignorance shattered everything. Living in a difficult situation in a world she didn't beg to be brought... How would she find her life better in the life of her beautiful dreams amidst her teenage wrecking, exhausting life and wickedness that lies in the hearts of the closest people?

Chattering and noises were heard in the morning as everyone carried out their own business and chores. The noises were not just simple mumbled noises. They were unnecessarily loud and very irritating to the ears of people who needed their morning peace.

It was the usual morning brawl that often occurred without number among many children of the house or even wives who seemed to always disagree with one another. The worst scene was when they beat each other to the ground and covered themselves in dirt and mud for other people, including their children, to watch and cheer for who would win. It was a very vexatious scene. But not many thought of it that way. They just did their own thing and lived life any way they could. Who makes an extra effort amongst pulling down forces?

Bewa had woken up very early to make preparations for the day. Nothing sucked than having a nonchalant mum, a lackadaisical father, nosy step-mums, and very aggravating step-siblings who never seemed to mind their business. She always felt their lives were supposed to be better than living in large shapeless single rooms for each wife and children, poorly constructed outside bathrooms without roofs where everyone could see you take your bath from a visual height or the ugly fights they often had over each other's children and trespass of property. But the man of the house couldn't care less. He would probably still get more wives and children and then breed them like rats under the same suffocating roof.

But that wasn't the worry now. How she was going to get to school, which was miles away, was Bewa's concern as she picked up her school clothes, folded them into a flat proportion of her body, and stuffed them into her clothes as she got ready to step out. "Where are you going?" Her mum, who was lying lazily on the bed, asked as she opened her eyes and turned. "To sell," she muttered, praying her mum would not ask further questions.

She was not ready for a fight this morning. Without waiting further, she picked up the big bowl of pastries, put it on her head, and closed the door behind her immediately. She was really thankful she was the only child from her mum apart from the seventeen other children her father had and five other wives. Life really sucked living with all of them.

Talking about them was a crazy big plot twist. But first, she had to walk fast through part she wouldn't be seen to drop off her pastries. She could not afford to miss the first class again today.
