Spirit Of Christ

The Spirit of life is the Spirit of Christ. when you receive Jesus Christ into your life, The Spirit of God comes and reside inside you. He that has not the Spirit of Christ does not have the Spirit of God (Rom. 8:9).

The distinction between God and man is that God is a Spirit, the Spirit of personality. "In whom my Spirit delighteth, I have put my Spirit upon him" (Isa 42:1). God is a person. "The express image of his person" (Heb. 1:3). Man has the nature of God, only that he lives in the body (human flesh). Man is human, while God is not human but divine. God does not live in a carnal body, but He lives in a body of a recreated and redeemed, born-again person. As it is written, "your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which lives in you" if you are born of the Spirit of God (1 Cor. 3:16, 6: 19; 2Cor. 6:16).

As a Christian, born of the "Spirit of Christ" and "Spirit of God" (Rom. 8: 9), your body and your Spirit are not yours. There are of God (1 Cor. 6:20). The Spirit of Christ is of vital necessity for the Spirit of God to have His full Lordship over you. Though you may profess God and be religious, and yet the Spirit of Christ is not in you, you are not of Christ. It is the Spirit of Christ in you that makes your body dead to sin and makes your Spirit alive in Christ's righteousness. "But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them are not Christians at all.) But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness" (Rom. 8: 9: 10 NLT). Your body is of the Lord, therefore, purify it from all filthiness of the flesh and of the Spirit and let them be for God's glory (2 Cor. 7:1). "… The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body" (1Cor. 6: 13 ESV). For you are Christ, and Christ is God (1 Cor. 3:23).

Man is used as a typical instance in biological class as a mammal; we are going to use God's Spirit as a case study for man's Spirit. "There is a spirit in man, but the inspiration of the Almighty gives him understanding" (Job 32:8). It is the inspiration of God that directs man. It is the inspiration of the Almighty that teaches and gives an understanding of what, how, where, and when to do or undo things. The spread of civilization, the spread of science and technology, academic knowledge of literature and mathematics, the retention of history of ancients, and the invention of new technological things are the output of man's Spirit by the inspiration of the Almighty.

To understand through faith that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which do appear (Heb. 11:3). To know the truth as we continue in the word of Christ and the truth we know is our freedom gateway (John 8:31-32).

The Spirit of God is the only outstanding Spirit that differentiates a Spirit of Christ-filled man from a carnal man. He is the "God of the spirits of all flesh," the Father of spirits and lives," "in whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind" (Num. 16:22; 27:16; Heb. 12: 9; Job 12:10).

Spirit of God + [recreated spirit +soul+ body] = born again man (spiritual man)

Spirit of God – [recreated spirit + soul + body] = carnal man (unspiritual man)

Spirit of God – [deaden spirit + soul + body] = natural man (unspiritual man)

The Spirit in man at creation is the Spirit of God breathed into him by God, which quickened the slain-stature [body] to become a living soul. "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man become a living soul" (Gen 2:7). Man is a living soul, and he that believes in Christ is made of the quickening Spirit. "And so it is written, the first Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit" (1 Cor. 15:45). The Spirit here originally is Adamic Spirit. Adam means "Man kind of God." Man with the embodiment of God's nature, that thinks, reason, and behave like God. God's Spirit resides in him. Man has a kind of God's life, an attribute of God's nature in him. However, at the new birth, a Christian has a full nature of God in him. The Spirit of God resides in him. God's life is in him –Zoe's life. Zoe is God's life in you restored to you at new. "Adam is the mankind of God" while "Zoe is God's life in man."

"And just as we have borne the likeness of the earthly man, so shall we bear the likeness of the man from heaven" (1 Cor. 15: 49). You bear the image of God when you are born of the Spirit of God. You receive the Holy Spirit into your life and have been washed in the deluged blood of Christ. We become the image of Christ on earth, the begotten children of God, by the quickening power of the Holy Spirit. He has "predestined us unto to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of his will" (Eph. 1: 5 NKJV). Christ is no more the only begotten Son of God, but we are now begotten children of God by adoption. "But ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our Spirit that we are the children of God. And if children, then heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ". Moreover, we have "received the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying Abba, Father" (Rom 8:15- 17; Gal. 4: 5-7).

 The Person of God

According to "Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary," a person is 1) "one of the three modes of being in the Trinitarian Godheads as understood by Christians." 2) "The unitary personality of Christ that unites the divine and human nature." At the same time, "Personality" means "the totality of an individual's behavioral and emotional characteristics. Person beings one of the three modes of being in the trinity of Godheads as understood by Christians is the proof that Christ, the second in Godheads, is the person of God. Jesus Christ is the person of God. It's the unitary personality of Christ that brings the divine and human togetherness. The totality of the nature, character, behavior, thoughts, and manifestation of the Spirit of God that unites a man to God's original purpose for him is in Christ. "For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power" (Col. 2:9-10). NLT bible translation scripts "For in Christ the fullness of God lives in the human body, and you have been filled in him." "You have been given fullness in Christ" (vs. 10 NIV). Hitherward, "When you come to him, that fullness comes together for you, too; His power extends over everything" (vs. 1o MSB). It is in Christ that you are complete. God allows His "all embodiment of fullness" to dwell in Christ Jesus, and He placed all things under His feet for the church (Col. 1: 19; Eph. 1:23).

Christ is the demonstration of the fullness of God, the sum total of the divine perfection, powers, and attributes. He is the operation of the Spirit of God for man through the Church (Ps 28: 5; Isa 5: 12; Col 2: 12). "For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwells in him," "Which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way" (Col 1: 19; Eph. 1: 23 NIV).

Everything, I mean anything you desire in life, is in Christ. Your intellectual skill, business ideas, "all spiritual blessing" (Eph. 1: 3), and "wealth-making power" (Deut. 8: 18) sprout out from the fullness of His grace. "From the fullness of His grace, we have all received one blessing after another" (John 1: 16 NIV). "We have grace after grace; spiritual blessing after spiritual blessing and favor after favor" (MSB – paraphrased); a man "full of grace and truth" (John 1: 14). In addition, apart from Him, "you can do nothing." "If truly you belong to Him and His word abides in you when you call upon Him, He will answer you" (John 15: 5, 7).

"The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our eyes, the one- of- kind- glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish" (John 1:14 MSB). "This Son perfectly mirrors God, and is stamped with God's nature. He holds everything together by what he says- powerful words!" (Heb. 1: 3 MSB); "Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person" (Heb. 1: 3). This is an account of personal Excellency. Jesus Christ is, in person, the Son of God, the only- begotten Son of God, and as such, he must have the same nature as God. The person of the Son is the glory of the Father, shining forth with divine splendor. The Light of lights, the True Shechinah.

Jesus Christ in His person is God manifest in the flesh. He is the true image and character of the person of the Father, being of the same nature in image and likeness. "… the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them", "Who is the image of the invisible God" (2 Cor. 4: 4; Col. 1: 15). He had the perfections of God in Him. In beholding the love, power, wisdom, and goodness of Christ, we behold the same of the Father. "He that hath seen the Son hath seen the Father, and he that known the Son, hath known the Father" (Jn. 14:7-9). For the Son is in the Father and the Father in the Son. This is of the vital essence of union- Father and Son. This is the glory of the person of Christ; the fullness of Godhead dwells in Him.
