The Most Embarrassing Day Of My Life

Everyone has a day they will never forget in their lives...

I'll never forget this day, 1st September 2019; It was on a Sunday. My church had its regional Thanksgiving service. According to your Geo-political zone, when your zone is called, everyone from that zone will dance from their seats to the front of the altar and then be asked to sing two or three songs from the languages of that Geo-political zone. 

 So on this particular day, the pastor in charge called the first Geo-political zone, North-East. Just a few people did the normal tradition of dancing from their seats to the altar. He called about three more zones. The same thing happened that should have been a warning for me to remain in my seat.

Then he called mine 'North Central,' I danced all the way from the back because I was seated at the back that particular Sunday; I was already halfway to the altar when I realized there was an offering box at the altar, and I was empty-handed omo I could not turn back, the pastor didn't mention offerings, all the church cameras were focused on me, I completed my steps to the altar and walked back in shame back to where I was seated, I thought this was the greatest height of embarrassment, only for me to be tapped on the shoulder by an usher, 'you are badly stained,' she whispered to me.
