The Way Up Is Down!!

Ironical?🤔 I don't think so.😁. Life in itself has shown countless times that what's blue, in another spectrum, isn't blue😁.

However, the hierarchy of society can be likened to a ladder; everyone is somewhere, sometime. But, impulsively, man aligns his dealings on a regular basis to take him up that ladder. Society, though, has its ways (dare me to say, laws) by which man must go if he wishes to go up the rank. Character and Competence, they say, make a man. Virtues like humility, transparency, accountability, and diligence, to mention a few, in an ideal setting, can launch a man way above his dreams😌. 

A critical pondering at the topic suggests one word only. As a matter of fact, it screams only this one word... HUMILITY.. let's line it up this way; You desire help? You need to be humble. Do you seek favors? You need to be humble. Promotion maybe? You need to be humble. Approval of some sorts? You need to be humble. Ok, you're contesting for a position? You need to be humble.

You name whatever it is, in any society, that is seen as an "Up the ladder" something; it is centered around humility. Why? Man as a creation feels the need to be recognized irrespective of status or wealth, or influence. What then do we say is humility?

I regard "Humility" as a way of life that relegates pride to the barest and, in its place, upholds Tolerance, Hospitality, and Charity. _Relegating pride_, emphatically being the "doing" word, can be likened to coming down. So, literally, you want to "go up"? You've got to " come down." Mind you, there's no specified limit "Up the ladder." Hence, the best way to keep " Up" the pace is by "Going down"..!!😌Still think it's ironic 🙃? Double check😁......Ckkyss'💙
