When_will_you_enter_the_ark?

A few months after my completion of SSCE and successful graduation from OASOS, many of my friends gained admission into different Universities.

For four years, I remained on the list of people sitting for exams from NECO to Jamb and not to forget different Post UTME examinations. Then, whenever I open Facebook, I'll see Matriculation pictures posted everywhere, and how about Instagram? Pictures of my colleagues who are done with a four-year school program, and there I was still seeking admission!

Noah's Ark taught me a whole lot of lessons! How the cheetah and the hare made a mockery of snail, millipede, tortoise, earthworm, and all the slow-moving animals/insects you could think of. They ran as fast as they could, and of course, they got to the Ark first. The journey to the Ark was a long and tedious one for the aforementioned animals, but they kept on moving, licking the soil, climbing hills, and entering valleys. They refused to give up and didn't allow the speed of the animals that had gone ahead to discourage them.

The most surprising thing is that the gate to the Ark never got closed till every single animal entered. So the cheetah, hare, and other fast-moving animals got into the Ark but could not start the journey, Noah could not close the door, but God waited till every animal who won't give up entered. Any animal we didn't see in existence after the flood is those ones who gave up on the way to the Ark!

So, my friend, I know you're not where you want to be yet, and most significantly, you've checked LinkedIn, Instagram, and other social media platforms, and all you could see are people's success stories, and it seems you've been left behind due to the issues of life. Don't term it as they are "oppressing" you. Celebrate their success; one day, you will post your own too!

It doesn't matter who you started with and who has gone ahead of you in academics, finances, relationships, or other areas of life; calm down; the door won't close! Slow motion is better than no motion! Just like the snail, continue making that little progress and congratulate anyone that runs past you. Just keep your focus and don't get involved in anything illegal just because you want to enter the Ark.

This is one principle that God has given me and has brought me thus far. I got my own first admission four years after most of my mates had gone ahead of me, but the door to my destination never got closed. Time and seasons may be different, but know for sure you will get there! God is with you! Get up now and move again. It is time to press on!
