WHY DO YOU DOUBT? Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?" (Matt 14:31 ESV)

I believe you remember the incident in the scriptures where Jesus asked Peter to walk on the sea, but just when Peter saw the strong wind, he became afraid and began to sink, but then Jesus helped him up and asked him this question "why? Did you doubt?" If you ask me (in my human thinking), I'll say that this question was somehow needless because the reason for the doubt was very obvious "a strong wind"...

As in, why shouldn't I be afraid and doubt when there is a strong wind around me, trying to pull me down? Does it mean Jesus did not see the wind? Was he trying to claim ignorance of that kind of strong wind? at least he should have said, "Kai, sorry ehn, you doubted because of that wind, right? sorry, it is well, but that's why I'm here, you should have just trusted in me and called on me "... But instead, he asked, "why did you doubt?"

I must say that the only reason Jesus would ask that kind of question was that though He knew about the strong wind, He still didn't see any reason why a strong wind or anything at all should pull down a man He has asked to come, except doubt. He didn't think the strong wind was strong enough for a man that would have faith in Him. So, His only concern was Kai "why did you doubt?" I pray God helps you to see what He is trying to say here...

So, you would have gone farther than this in God if you didn't doubt God?😞 I mean, sin and problems would not have ravaged you like this if you didn't doubt God...😢 That even if the strong wind of sickness and poverty is ravaging you, He is still surprised and is asking but "why did you doubt?" Even with the harsh economic situation of this country and the violence and killings and insecurities, they are nothing to Him; His only concern is why do you doubt Him? He checks your heart and finds how the wind of sin and unrighteousness is clamoring for your soul, and all He's checking and asking is, "why do you doubt?"

It is because of the fear and doubts in our hearts that have made us sink and stink like this, nothing more... In God's mind, the problems around you were never really a problem for Him to handle; He only allowed them so as to test whether you'll keep having Faith in Him and keep focusing on Him, but sadly, we doubt Him. God's problem is never the devil and the problems around; His challenge is to get us to have faith in Him. Let us look unto Jesus and trust Him alone; let's take our eyes off the sea of challenges around us; they'll only make us sink. He's asking you again, "why do you doubt?" Pray for Grace to Trust in Jesus till the end.
