You Are Not Indispensable

During testimony time in church yesterday, a woman testified that as she was about to climb the podium to conduct the school assembly, she almost slumbered, if not for the help of other teachers who noticed she was about to fall, then held her. She said it was out of God's mercy her case was not like that of a teacher somewhere who had a similar issue of slumbering but died instantly.

The only thing that would have caused such a situation was nothing more than STRESS. As you pursue money, please take care of yourself; no profession is left out. Do not overwork yourself; your body needs rest. If you die, that work will go on. Never think you are indispensable because you are not; do you hear me? When you break down, don't call the devil; blame yourself because it's you who has refused to listen to your body to know when to give it a break.

Plan yourself in such a way that you don't need to bring office work or school work to the house; that's what l have done for me. I have also learned to use the periods I'm not teaching to mark home funs and class fun and write my lesson notes and plans so that l will not need to take school work home. You need yourself at home, just as your family also needs you at home, don't allow office work or school work to also steal that time from you and your family; you need human relationships o!

You even deny yourself the presence of God, whether alone with Him or with other brethren, because you are busy with school work or office work at home; you need a divine relationship o! Even with house chores, learn to also give your body rest. Let's live a balanced life; it's very important.
